Measurement and control with relay output controllers and recording to COMET Cloud

For Czech manufacturer TOPNATUR, we installed temperature and relative humidity measurements in the production and warehouse areas. The customer also required not only measurement but also control of external HVAC equipment at selected locations. Using binary inputs and magnetic sensors, the operator can also clearly see when the warehouse door is open and how this affects the change in temperature and relative humidity. Everything can be clearly monitored online in the COMET Cloud Storage.

The client requested

• Measure temperature and relative humidity. Measure open/closed status of the warehouse door.
• Possible output to a relay that would trigger the HVAC.
• Online overview of readings
• Send alarms when thresholds are exceeded.
• Accredited calibrations for temperature and relative humidity

The Solution

• COMET P8641 Ethernet sensors were supplied for measurement and recording.
• Measurement and possible output to the HVAC relay was provided by the H3530 controller and the H3531 controller with cable probe.
• The controllers were supplemented with magnetic sensors to detect the status of the garage door in the warehouse.
• All the devices are logged in the COMET Cloud, which records and analyses the measured data.
• The equipment was installed and commissioned on site. We also carried out an accredited calibration of the equipment for possible inspection.
